Duane Short earned his BA in Political Science and Psychology from Stanford University and his MBA from San Diego State University. He is the Articulation Officer and Assistant Professor of Military Studies at San Diego Miramar College. Duane also served as the Transfer/Career Center Director at San Diego City College. His previous career was in the U.S. Navy as a Naval Flight Officer, instructor, operations manager, and legal officer. He continues to serve in the Navy Reserve. Duane is a native San Diegan and a former Mesa College student.
