03.03 Student HomePage in WebCT This is a tutorial to create a simple webpage using Netscape and then loading it up to the Student Homepage in Student Tool in WebCT. The tutorial shows QuickTime video clips of the process. The whoe tutorial is about 20 minutes.

9/2000 Sunglasses Analysis with the Cary 50
A tutorial on the operation of the Varian Cary50 spectrometer.  It provides a step by step outline of how the spectrometer is used to test the UV protection effectiveness of eyewear.
2/2000 Cary50 Spectrometer Operation
A tutorial  illustrating the operational procedure for the Cary 50 UV-Vis spectrometer.  The program shows how an absorption spectrum is obtained as well as how to program the spectrometer to perform a Beer-Lambert  Law  analysis to a series of solution.
9/2000 MacSpartan A tutorial on the basic operation of MacSpartan.  A chemical molecular modeling software.
9/2000 Excel, Basic operations
A tutorial on the basic operation of Excel.  A tutorial on how to enter data in an Excel spreadsheet, performed autormatic calculations and then graphing data in a chart and perfroming Linear Regression Analysis.
1/2011 Excel: Linear Regression, LINEST and Confidence Level (Error bars) A tutorial on Excel on how to take absorption data and applying linear regression to obtain the equation of a line. LINEST is next applied so that the standard deviation can be obtained for the slope, intercept and the absorbance values. Finally, a student-T test is applied to obtain the 95% confidence level for each data point.
3/2000 Vernier A tutorial on the set up and programming of the LabWorks Computer interface units.  This tutorial describes how to program a Macintosh computer to record the temperature during the course of a reaction.
